"The sleeve is a combination of 3 tattoos:
The first was the middle of the upper arm and shoulder on the outside. This piece has the smaller/busier biomechanical design, with some red highlighting and the skull in the middle of the outside of the shoulder. It was originally airbrushed by Liquidmatter / Reverence (Roberto Garcia). He did the entire tattoo freehand with no stencil in 5 hours. This was a time in my life when I was opening up to many things, and opening my mind toward accepting, learning, growing, and experiencing in life in general. This tattoo was mostly just an art piece celebrating my love for the recently passed H.R. Giger and his art, my appreciation of Rob and his take on the bio mechanical artwork, and the skull on my shoulder holds meaning for how death always seem to be at my back, yet never faces me. I have had quite an amount of loss in my life, but no matter how close I come I always seem to cheat death.
To put it simply, my right arm is a tribute to everything artistic I've held with the utmost appreciation. It is a reminder that death is always there, and to keep pushing forward for the life that we are lucky to have, and the people in that life that we are lucky to know. The piece in memory of my brother emphasizes all of this to an even higher elevation."
